Today I thought I would write about great wedding gifts, but I'm sure we can all figure out what material gifts to give. So I thought of something I've always wanted for myself and just about everyone else I know.
Have you ever had someone ask you where you are from? I normally say, "I'm from Maryland, right outside of DC." The next question I get is, "well where are your parents from?" I then say, "DC and Chicago." At this point, I know where the conversation is going. Other people from all different races and cultures want to know about my ancestry just as much as I do. Until recently, this wasn't really possible. But we now have African Ancestry. With a simple DNA test, they are able to trace your ancestry.
Can you imagine being able to actually know where you can came from? Learn who you are and give the same gift to your partner. I couldn't imagine a better gift to give to person you love and plan to spend the rest of your life.
